I felt challenged by several students in one particular class. Having prided myself upon being 'inclusive' I found myself with three students who would not work, no matter what approach I tried. I worked through several meetings and discussions with more experienced colleagues, and have adopted the following approaches, which have led to successful outcomes with many underachieving students.

3. Be patient
