Despite the best intentions of mankind and technology this professional development goal is yet to flower, but it mixes a good metaphor.

While there were plans to create a digital portfolio on Google, Wiki or Sharepoint, we await the coming of the Ultranet with glassy eyes and a handy glassful of KoolAid.

After the Ultranet training day the goal will be revised, dependent on whether or not it seems achievable on Ultranet.

It seemed pointless to strive to create a digital portfolio on a system that was not going to be readily available to - and to be used regularly by - our school students. We await developments.
